What are the needles like? Do they hurt?
Acupuncture needles are sterile and disposable,
made for one-time use. They are hair thin and very flexible.
People often feel a quick pinch and then may experience numbness,
heaviness or tingling. It can also be quite normal to
not feel anything.
How many acupuncture treatments will I need?
That depends on the severity, duration and
type of complaint. A series of 5-10 treatments may completely
resolve some problems while chronic complaints that have been
present for a long time will take longer. Stress relief is
immediate after your first treatment but then symptoms will
return after a day or two. As you have your subsequent treatments,
the cumulative effect kicks in and your relief will then last
longer.
Do you take insurance for acupuncture?
We are a provider of Oxford and will help
you get reimbursement for many other carriers out of network.
How do I know which modality will help me the best?
If you’re not sure whether you’d
like to try acupuncture or EFT, it may be very helpful
to discuss your needs in an introductory evaluation. Please
call Joanne Parker for your free evaluation where you can
explore how best to eliminate your anxiety and start feeling
vibrant again.
What can EFT help?
If there is a problem in your life, EFT can help. It often works when nothing else does. It successfully helps all sorts of physical problems and works great at helping you with emotional problems such as anxiety and phobias. EFT is also excellent in improving performance, whether you’d like calm your nerves before a presentation at work or improve your performance riding a horse in the show ring.
If I can do EFT at home myself, why would I need a practitioner?
Sometimes when you aren’t making progress it helps to have an objective listener who can ask just the right questions to help you get to the bottom of your problem. Joanne is skilled at finding out what is really causing your problems. Once you direct your tapping there the problem collapses.
